Yes, of course I get a cut of the profits. The way I do it, the client pays me first and then I pay the writer a previously-agreed upon price for their work, which is less than what I charged the client.

That is the only way it would make sense for ME to outsource the work instead of just introducing the writer to the client and letting them have an independent relationship without me being a part of the process or deal at all.
