Working When You Feel BLAH
This week has been a struggle for me
I don’t know why, but this week has been particularly difficult for me.
I have a lot going on. I just got officially diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) and am on a new medication to try to deal with it (metformin).
I’m exhausted — I’ve been struggling with my anxiety lately, which has been really pushing on my insomnia.
I love my work but I have felt “off” this week.
I’ve had weird muscle spasms and stomachaches all week. At first, I thought maybe it would become a migraine but it never did thank goodness!
Today in particular I woke up with a weird stomachache and have felt vaguely nauseous ALL DAY. (A common side effect of metformin, I am told.)
It’s only Thursday mid-day. I need to get more work done.
I am driving to Virginia tomorrow (weather and roads permitting) for my nephew’s and my mom’s birthdays — which I am intensely excited about.
But also extremely anxious. It’s only the second time since March 2020 that I’ve really GONE anywhere/done anything due to the pandemic.
