What Is Being An Adult?

Awesome, that’s what it is.

I heard a joke from Iliza Shlesinger about how marriage is just waking up every day and asking how the other person slept, knowing the answer but pretending to care.

And I agree with that. In my case, it is mostly my husband asking ME that question, probably because I have pretty intense insomnia and the answer is very often “shitty, you?”

But also, I’d like to add this:

Adulthood, in general, revolves a surprising amount around toilet paper. Changing the TP roll, checking the TP stock, and buying more toilet paper every time you go to the store.

Things I thought would be a much bigger issue in adulthood:

Strangers offering me drugs/candy, quicksand, stop drop and roll, being kidnapped/stuck in the trunk of a car, spontaneous combustion.

But adulthood is NOT all bad.
