The Definition of Your Success

It’s up to you — but what does that mean?

Two of my favorite quotes about success are:

“What is not started will never get finished.” — Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

and

“Success is not what you have, but who you are.” -Dr. Bo Bennett, President, Archiboy Holdings, LLC & CEO of eBookit.com.

What lovely and true sentiments.

When you look deeper into these two pieces of advice, you can see more than what may lie on the surface.

For one thing, you cannot actually become successful unless you begin. You cannot build anything without breaking ground. Or, as Lao Tzu wrote, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” But then you must keep walking.

So simple, yet an ultimate, incontrovertible truth.

One we often forget.

So many “aspiring” would-be entrepreneurs have a ton of great ideas but no follow-through.

And the follow-through, as any pitcher, bowler, free thrower, or golfer will tell you, is the key to sinking the ball.
