Thank you for your response, and your grammar corrections. I went in and fixed the hyphen mistakes. I sometimes type almost faster than I think, resulting in silly mistakes.
I am serious about my grammar. I also adore commas and tend to over use them. In terms of “brand-new,” it is not hyphenated when used after a noun, which I apparently thought it was. Thank you for catching it.
As to etcetera, it’s simply used to end a list to show that there are similar items in the list, or that it would be too tedious to continue. That’s used correctly. I assumed no one would want me to list out 20 industries.
