And yes, that was the exact decision I had to make. I started freelancing part-time on the side while still full-time employed — I have been in your shoes!

What I decided was, once I was making over half of my full-time job’s salary, I quit the job to try to freelance full-time and see how it went. If I was able to make the same or better salary, then I would keep doing it. If I loved it — even the admin stuff or bad days — then I would continue.

Because it’s not like my previous career disappeared. If I ever choose to stop freelancing, I know I could go back to corporate sales and business development. I know I have those skills and experience as a “back up.”

But IF you ever choose to go all the way freelance, just know it’s not always a walk in the park!
