Thank you for your response! Yes, I see people all the time who think they can write one book and get rich, and it just doesn’t work that way anymore — if it ever really did.

Though I will say I don’t think editing or ghosting, blogging, etc., is really on the fringes. After all, it is still firmly in the world of writing and creating.

But it CAN be a grind, and I think it is about finding a balance. This is one reason why I have never chosen to write/pitch articles to publications (even ones who pay), because that, to me, is a GRIND. I’ve seen writers who do 25+ articles per month and are not making much money, whereas I choose to write for clients and companies and am able to make more and have more stability.

But there are a lot of different ways to make money writing — it just isn’t all as a book author!
