I’d be happy to help!

Honestly, if you wanted to both be a writer and work with nonprofits and help the world, you may be interested in grantwriting. My mom LOVES grantwriting.

It’s a very specific skill that a lot of people don’t want or don’t have, and can be lucrative. But it also helps the people and companies who truly need it.

Finding and writing great grants is a learned skill (there are free online courses), and is needed very badly in many areas. It is an involved process and many people don’t understand it well enough. A good grantwriter will always be able to find clients and jobs — whether you freelance of work fully for a specific organization.

Also, keep writing. Keep sharing and talking about this stuff. I like your advocacy style! If you have the time and desire, pitch articles to other major sites, like Entrepreneur, Forbes, or any site, and find a wider audience. Many contributed articles are unpaid, but you CAN get exposure and some additional experience, depending on your goals.

I’m happy to answer questions or just chat with a fellow writer. I am a lover of words — both written and spoken. :)
