I found when I started that the best way to get clients was to be proactive. I directly messaged potential clients and actively responded to job ads for writers and editors on sites like Problogger, Craigslist, and LinkedIn. Many job sites have “remote/freelance” options for filtering ads.
I also posted on social media that I was looking for clients and joined freelancer groups to learn more. And did a lot of research.
