It is 30,331 words. I wrote is in just under 3 months in off-and-on bursts, while working far more than full-time hours building my writing and editing business.

I can’t believe it’s done!

It’s off with an editor now, and the hard part is over. The editing is mostly copyediting, though she is paying attention to content and flow. After the first read-through, I have been told it is packed with great content and she only has a couple notes where it’s a bit repetitive in places.

Much like starting my business, it happened like this:

April 2017: “I think I’m going to write a book.”

April to June 2017: Tell everyone I know that I’m writing a book, go against my OWN ADVICE and forget to start with an outline, write it mostly on weekends.

June 2017: Send my book to my mom, who is also my editor.

There may have been more to it than that, but that’s the basic gist.

Of course, that little anecdote doesn’t show the late nights or that I have been building a business and writing other people’s books in the meantime, and am still working crazy hours.

But, YAY MY BOOK IS DONE!

I need to think of a title. It’s a nonfiction book about how I became a freelance writer, where to get clients, dealing with my anxiety as an entrepreneur, and advice about pricing and your value, how to break up with a client, sales and marketing information.

For now, I’m tentatively calling it “From Concept to Quitting in 90 Days” but I am not 100% on that. Thoughts? Suggestions?
