I Don’t Write For Fun Anymore

And that’s okay right now.

The danger of turning any “hobby” or thing you enjoy doing into your work/career is that it becomes exactly what it never was: work.

I started my writing and editing business in 2016 and have worked in that field ever since.

I’ve done everything — copywriting, blogs, articles, scripts, Kickstarter campaigns, ghostwriting books, editing manuscripts, writing and editing course content, managing editor for publishers, managing authors, etc.

And in the first few years of my business, I published several of my own books, too.

And while I knew it was a possibility — even probable! — I hoped this wouldn’t happen.

But it did.

I don’t really just write for fun anymore.

I’ve written before about how you can just enjoy things without making them into a side hustle.

Losing Inspiration?
