I didn’t write it for self-indulgence or self-promotion, I didn’t put in any site links or links to my own posts. I was simply responding to his post and presenting an opposing point of view and why I choose to do it differently, despite the good points made.

And I think many posts on Medium and other blogging platforms can be considered “things people already know.” Sometimes people need to be reminded of it, and especially on a post like this, where I wanted to not simply say “no, I don’t do this,” but explain why and how it works for me personally, as the original writer did for their work and business.
