I agree with this. Especially when people are starting out, they feel they have to say yes to everything, but it is important to learn how and when to say no to clients — especially when those people will take up more of your time, possibly haggle over every penny, and make it harder for you to do the work you want to do. I, too, wrote a shorter piece on it and even talked about it in my book. It is SO important for freelancers and entrepreneurs to realize they can say not — and learn how to do it gracefully!
