Exactly! I try to take a more “educational” approach. Some companies simply don’t know that the rate they’re asking for is too low and others don't care, but I try for the informational way of responding and haven’t had many issues with it. Sometimes people get defensive, and that’s fine, too, I’m just trying to give them information — what they do with it is up to them.
Unfortunately, a few writers DID respond positively to the ad that was posted, which is also frustrating.
