Remembering 2021
As another year comes to a not-so-quiet close, I am once again compelled to look back on the year and its highlights.
I came into 2021 excited. 2020 was shitty and I was SURE 2021 couldn’t possibly be as bad.
It was…and it wasn’t.
In terms of health…
I was able to get the Covid vaccine in spring 2021, as was my husband. Our parents were thankfully able to get it even sooner.
I was officially diagnosed with ADHD this year (at 35!), though I had a preliminary diagnosis as a child. I’m on meds and in therapy and am making great strides in learning to roll with it and not let it control me.
I restarted therapy this year.
No one in my group of family or friends got hospitalized from Covid.
I mean, I also gained pandemic weight. Ugh. So, that’s not great.
We did have a Covid scare right at Christmas, but we tested negative twice ( 4 days after exposure and 8 days after exposure)!
In terms of happiness…
There were ups and downs.
I actually really love having my husband working from home with me. We share an office and it’s awesome having a coworker! If…
